Wristrait Knives

Ergonomic, adaptive knives for assistance with hand and wrist ailments and prevention of repetitive strain injuries

Bend your handle, not your hand!

How it works:

When holding a straight-back knife handle, the user must bend their wrist forward and loosen the grip on their two strongest fingers. The pinky and ring finger are doing 60% of the gripping force, and the pushing force comes from the thumb.

When using a pinch grip, the problems are similar, except that there is more gripping force from the thumb and index finger, at the expense of having less pushing force behind the blade

.When holding a vertical handle, the wrist is in it’s neutral position, all fingers are wrapped firmly around the handle, and the pushing force comes from the palm, backed by the arm.
